 Heart Energy

 Access, expand, and nurture clarity                        

 

 

Most cultures around the world, especially those of industrialized countries, place great value on the abilities and power of our intellect. In the continuum of this focus, we have forgotten what is probably our most important and valued attribute of being human, the power of the human heart and the extraordinary results attained when accessing, expanding, and nurturing its electromagnetic energy.

Accessing the heart is fairly simple, but may prove difficult because the default behavior in processing most aspects of life is through thought processes. The first step is to move your attention from being in your thoughts to the center of your chest. Closing your eyes will reduce distractions. Go deeper by feeling your heart beating and noticing how your breathing slows down.

Expand your heart energy by creating or recalling an experience that connects you with the feeling of beauty or love--a vacation place you’ve visited, or the memory of someone you love very much such as your partner, child, relative, or pet. Once connected, bring these feelings deeper into the heart and feel your heart energy expanding. Now, you can begin working through any life issues you’re facing, but the key is to maintain the feeling in the heart energy as you process your issue. This is called “thinking through your heart.”

Nurturing the heart energy may take some practice, but can be done almost any where and any time. One of the best ways is giving appreciation. In an average day, we have many opportunities to give appreciation, one of the most unique forms of love. Simply drop your attention from your thoughts to the heart space, and consciously give appreciation in a simple statement of thanks for something or someone who’s enhanced your life. This simple act is very powerful, and when practiced routinely, will rapidly deepen and expand your heart energy.

Connected – now what? Connecting to the heart energy brings clarity to personal issues, perceptions, and problem solving, and activates intuition and creativity. Thinking through your heart will transform your life and provide a deeper sense of wellness, clarity, and peace--which may be unlike anything you have ever experienced.
